Sohail Khan
I have been working as a freelance theatre arts worker for the past 15 years. During this time I have worked with a great number of companies such as Mind the Gap, Diversity Dance and Creative Partnerships on a number of Schools projects.
These have included a number of long term projects using theatre as a tool for working with young people at risk of exclusion, developing cultural interaction and creative awareness in schools as well as consultancy with young people and exploring issues of diversity in school settings.
I believe that creative processes and practices can and do change peoples lives through there personal and interactive exploration of their potential as expressive artistic beings. I use theatre and related forms to work collaboratively with all types of groups exploring their stories, ideas and creating a space to develop their creativity.
I use artistic processes and techniques that positively engage individuals in a group in opening out and redefining their experiences and the way they regard their potential and their approach to playing.
